 The
Les Contamines ski area offers snow-sure pistes from mid December
to the end of April and has a ski school with English speaking
instructors. The ski area has 120km of uncrowded pistes with 31
ski lifts, 44 pistes, including 3 nursery slopes in the village.
For snow boarders there is a half pipe in town and a snow park
on the upper pistes.
Les
Contamines will suit all standards of skier, has very good off-piste
for the more adventurous skier and eight mountain restaurants,
it also has 29km of cross-country skiing

of the 14 resorts of the Chamonix
ski domaine are more than 45 minutes drive away including Les
Grands Montets at Argentier.tOther
activities are snow-shoeing, evening snowmobile
trips, and sledging. r
